Organice Explorer |
 |
Companies recognize the power of web based applications, but often user acceptance suffers because navigation, features and performance are limited compared to a full Windows client.
Organice Explorer is a rich client for SharePoint that helps you to get the maximum out of SharePoint. Users can create, store, search, retrieve, view, check in, check out, edit and revise documents all from the familiar Organice Explorer desktop. Organice Explorer lets you perform virtually all your daily document management tasks from one screen.

Easy SharePoint Navigation
To start using Organice Explorer, users can simply drag in the URLs of the SharePoint sites they work with or select them by using the Organice ‘Site Browser’. The entire structure of the selected SharePoint sites is presented in the 'Site Navigation' pane, including sub-sites and folders.
Organice Explorer presents the structure, details and content of information all in one view and users can quickly jump from site to site or between lists, without losing track of where they are.

Real Office integration for SharePoint
Organice integrates Microsoft Office seamlessly with SharePoint, making it easy for everyone to store and retrieve Office documents in and from SharePoint.
A simple yet powerful Organice toolbar is installed in every Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) allowing users to easily open documents from SharePoint, and save documents into SharePoint, reducing the number of mouse-clicks to a minimum. When documents are saved into SharePoint, the user is automatically prompted to enter metadata.
The creation of new Office documents can be started from Organice using templates for specific layouts, like letters, faxes and reports. SharePoint metadata can be used to populate document properties. When documents are saved, the SharePoint metadata and document properties are automatically synchronized.
Outlook integration for SharePointImportant project information is often exchanged via e-mail. Project members need to store relevant incoming and outgoing e-mail, e-mail with attachments, or only attachments directly from Outlook into the appropriate project repository in SharePoint.
Through the Organice toolbar in Outlook, users can save e-mail and attachments directly into SharePoint, whereby metadata can be derived automatically form the e-mail properties. New e-mail can also be created from Organice using templates, and with the possibility to attach any SharePoint document. The unique 'Send & Save' function both sends the e-mail and saves it into SharePoint.

Searching and finding information!
The number of documents created per individual continues to increase every year. Finding the right version of the right information fast, whatever its format, is essential for everyone in your organization.
Organice presents the document structure, content and details all in one view, making it very easy for a user to find the right information. Organice Explorer enables intuitive (multi-level) grouping, sorting and filtering (including wild-cards) of the information within one list, and provides the possibility to search on metadata values.
Viewing
Users indicate that the majority of time spent in SharePoint (or any document repository) is searching for the right information. Being able to immediately view the content of information reduces a whole lot of time in finding the right information. Using native applications for viewing is often undesirable, for users do not always have access to these applications and there is always the risk of unauthorized or unwanted changes to documents that can lead to costs and even claims.
Organice Explorer has an integrated viewer that supports over 250 different files formats, including compound documents like CAD drawings, whereby even reference files are resolved (e.g. XREFs). Also additional viewers can be used to view documents in the best possible way, like Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF), Autodesk Design Review (DWF) and Microsoft Visio.
The integrated viewer allows all employees to easily view documents including CAD drawings, without the need to have all (expensive) applications available on their desktop (like CAD applications). Furthermore the viewer can be used to compare documents and the different versions of documents.
Business Intelligence is the process of obtaining and transforming data into information that once delivered becomes the knowledge needed to make more informed and timely decisions. But Business Intelligence is more than a methodology or a set of tools.
